The Bird's Nest Anthurium, Anthurium Superbum is an easy to grow, prehistoric looking, bird nest variety Anthurium well suited for interiorscapes, containers and tropical landscapes. The dark purple backed, elliptical leaves are rigid and arranged in a upright rosette formation. Superbums’ origin is deep in the jungles of Ecuador. These are very healthy tropical plants with well established root systems. The growth rate and leaf color of The Bird's Nest Anthurium will vary greatly depending on soil type, sunlight, temperature and other factors. The Bird's Nest Anthurium is very easy to grow tropical plants that require little care indoors or out. Like other aroids, many species of Anthurium can be grown as houseplants, or outdoors in mild climates. They thrive in moist soils with high organic matter. Anthurium plants can be grown in pots or hanging baskets. Indoors plants thrive at temperatures between 55°- 80°F and require lower light than most other house plants.
