Wonderful Calathea Burle Marx Fishbone Prayer Garden Plant

The Ctenanthe burle-marxii gets its common name, The Fishbone Plant, from the alternating patterns of dark green strokes along its midrib resembling the fishes’ skeletal pattern. This plant’s leaves are oval, and light green originating from the plant’s base and are arranged like fans. With correct conditions, the leaves’ pattern becomes more vibrant, and the underside sports a maroon to burgundy shade.

- DESCRIPTION: An excellent indoor plant for low-light situations. This low-growing variety features icy-blue leaves with dark green tiger stripes and purple undersides. Happy with indirect bright light, but will also thrive with fluorescent lighting, making it a great choice for the office. This non-toxic plant is safe for pets.

Allow soil to dry occasionally- do not keep constantly wet. Prefers humidity. Feed with a standard houseplant fertilizer during periods of growth.
